     Homeschool Tutorial Academy can do all this and more.

 

  • Field Trips

    Due to the small class size field trips are taken often.  They are both local and out of state. We go yearly to Ossabaw Island off the coast of Savannah for a coastal study.  We go to Washington D.C. every other year to experience our nation's capitol.  We also camp once a year in a Georgia State Park trying to expose the students to a different part of the state.  Most of the field trips are science or history related.  We also try to attend many local attractions as well.  Parents are more than welcome to attend any of these trips and often we have as many parents as students.  It is a great time of fellowship and learning combined.

Curriculum

Homeschool Tutorial Academy uses the School of Tomorrow curriculum.  These are often referred to as PACES.  They are presented as 12 booklets per subject with a test at the completion of each booklet. There is a test approximately every 3 weeks. They are all disposable so there are no heavy books to carry around.  The cost of books runs between $200 and $300 depending on the grade level. The cost of the books is not part of the tuition. You are responsible for ordering curriculum.

Seven teacher personal days are built in to the calendar to be taken as needed.  Eleven field trip days are also built in so work does not need to be made up.
